Modern Mythology About Improving Your Fuel Mileage! By GARKO If you want to learn you often need to clear out the bogus information as a primary action. There is actually a technology to strip out bogus information but it can’t be done here in this article. But I will do the best possible job under the circumstances. I want to share with you a factual solution for lowering your gas consumption. But first allow me to disengage you from some of the bogus data that have encountered.
TO FRY OR NOT TO FRY? Are you really driving around in Florida in August with your air conditioner off, sizzling so that you can lower your gas consumption? Well let me inform you that keeping your AC off, if you have a properly operating vehicle will only save you about 1 mile per gallon. Which necessitates this question.. is it worth it?
However, if you want to keep your airconditioner off for some purpose (some people don’t enjoy recycled air) and have your windows open on the parkways, you should be informed that Consumer Reports did a study that refuted that claim that having windows open on the parkways actually brought about sufficient drag to reduce fuel mileage. So the bottom line? Do what you want! . Do what’s comfortable.
“ONLY purchase fuel on Tuesdays when the wind is from the East and the harvest moon is in the East or between 6:30 AM and 6:55 AM”
Some individuals insist the best time to buy fuel is on a Wednesday, when fuel prices have been reduced from the weekend bump when oil companies usually increase prices. Well you can check this out at your local fuel station and disprove the theory. Fact is that fuel prices increase, fuel prices shrink. The only substantial bumps occur during Holidays so I do recommend to fill up a few days before a Holiday if possible and you will save a bit.
POWER DOWN Restart your engines – this one is hilarious. Could you imagine being on the road with some driver in front of you who turned off their car at every red light just to lower your gas consumption? Could you imagine if a large number of cars around you were doing the same? It just strikes me as a funny scene. And doing this won’t save much fuel besides. Naturally your lowest mileage is when you are burning fuel and not moving but it doesn’t burn up very much.
PADONK! PADONK! That is the sound of driving with a square-ish tire. Yeah you need to maintain tires at proper pressure but for other reasons besides to lower your gas consumption. You won’t accomplish
much except some slight improvement by ensuring your tire pressure is appropriate.
DE-JUNK YOUR TRUNK You will save approximately 3-6 cents per gallon by unloading the junk from your trunk. So, if you purchase 15 gallons/week you save between 50 cents and $1 per week (and you spend how much on Starbucks? ) and that equals to $25-50 per year!! Wow! Let’s have a party!
READY FOR A REVOLUTION? What if you never had to buy another gallon of gas again? Convert your gas engine to hydrogen. If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you can expect to see savings on your gas consumption of up to 30% maybe more. If you do this and also add acetone to your gas tank (which will save you another 25% or so) then you will have reduced your gas consumption by a combined 50%! Put in about 2-3 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of gas and less gas will vaporize and you lower your gas consumption by 25% or more. If you do a full gas to hydrogen conversion then you will have pumped your last gallon of gas for the rest of your life. It is very simple to do, costs next to nothing, doesn't pollute the environment and you will enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to conserve resources instead of using up more than your fair share. Article Directory: http://www.articlecube.com Entrepreneur, songwriter, activist and consumer advocate, GARKO, shows you how to improve your fuel economy by up to 1/3rd or more at the gas pump and that you can save on fuel consumption by making your car run on water For a list of current gas prices in your neighborhood email garko@startlingdiscoveries.info
