Candles For Mood Lighting
By Emile Ruahihi

Candlelight makes the most romantic type of light in existence. What is lovelier than entering a room lit with flickering flames on top of elegant candles. In addition to their fragrant aromas, form necessary lighting elements in homes of all shapes and sizes. Whether you live in a historic Victorian home elegantly furnished with antiques or a stark modern loft space that’s heavy on minimalism, can accentuate any space.

Homes that lack the necessary lighting elements can especially make use of for mood lighting. You should consider candle powered sconces instead of spending a packet on rewiring your home to fit new electric ones. When the candle is lit in a beautifully designed candle holder sconce, it can add a touch of romance to the room.

Go a step ahead and buy a candelier instead of a chandelier. Not only will this look more spellbinding but it also saves you the expenses of going for the electrical fittings and the heavy electrical chandeliers.

Another great idea for using is to create a romantic glow in an unused fireplace. Most fireplaces lie unused especially during the summertime. Instead of leaving the fireplace blank till the winters, you can adorn it with an array of candles. You can fill the fireplace area with of different sizes or if you prefer a uniform look, you can choose of one color and texture. Several layers of will provide depth and visual interest while filling the entire fireplace with light.

There are some great ways to light up your room, one of them being creating a centerpiece on mirror. Place a whole lot of on the mirror. However, in order to enhance the beauty of the centerpiece use the of the same color and texture. Watch out for the resplendent scene that these lit candles create when they are lit as the flames are reflected in the mirror.

Get rid of the foul smelling odor from any corner of your home by lighting a candle with a fragrance. The fragrance emanating from the candle and the beauty exuding from it make them the perfect embellishment for the room.

However, you must remember to never leave a lit candle unattended, regardless of where you have placed it and the kind of candleholder it has. An unattended candle can potentially burn your entire home to the ground and no beautiful lighting plan is worth that risk!

Whatever shape, size or design your house comes in, lighting it up with a candle any day is a great idea. Buying and their holders don't even cost a great deal of money and they are long lasting. Reduce the wick to about half an inch before lighting. Buying a candle snuffer might be a wise investment as it will not only help in maintaining the shape of the top of the candle but it will also help ensure that the are extinguished safely without blowing hot wax onto the wall or surface.
